1. Republic of Texas Biker Rally


The 23rd annual celebration of biker culture includes a motorcycle parade on the Congress Avenue bridge in downtown Austin and a festival at the Travis County Exposition Center in far East Austin. Activities at the expo center include flattrack racing, a stunt show, motorcycle giveaways, a custom bike builder show and vendors.

2. ATX Television Festival


Similar to a film festival but with an emphasis on television's history and future, the weekend-long event taking place in downtown Austin includes new series premieres, current shows and classics as well as panels featuring leading professionals in the industry.

3. Aquatic Master Plan development update


The city of Austin hosts an update on the development of its Aquatic Master Plan, with findings, future recommendations, review and comment opportunities. The Austin Parks and Recreation Department has been working on the development of the master plan since its aquatic assessment was conducted in 2013. The open-house-format meeting features a brief presentation.

4. Daybird Music Series

5. Over the Edge for Make-A-Wish

6. Whisler's four-year anniversary party


The East Austin bar celebrates its fourth year in business with drink specials, kegs, prizes and live music. Live music starts at 2 p.m., and performers include Jon Klekman Jazz Quartet, Drew Davis Band, Boss Jaguars, and Hogan Sullivan & The West Texas Teardrops.
