Sound On Sound Fest announced the lineup for its second annual festival Tuesday morning. Produced by the original core team that organized Fun Fun Fun Fest, SOS Fest 2017 will offer three days of “music, camping and adventure” at the Renaissance Village inside Sherwood Forest on Nov. 10, 11 and 12. Here’s everything you need to know about the festival.
The lineup
This year’s SOS Fest will offer a well-rounded dose of indie rock, hip-hop, metal, dance music, comedy and live panel discussions. The music portion this year features the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Grizzly Bear, Iggy Pop, the Shins, Blood Orange, Pusha T, Kehlani and Vince Staples. The comedy and live panel discussion lineups have not yet been released.
SOS Fest will feature a dedicated DJ stage for the first time this year, with acts such as Hot Chip, Poolside and Lindstrom slated to perform.
The festival also booked local acts, including Capyac, Sweet Spirit, Holy Wave, Street Sects, Growl, Alex Napping and Kydd Jones.

Tickets
Three-day general admission tickets are on sale at www.soundonsoundfest.com for $189. VIP tickets cost $379. Single-day general admission tickets cost $89.
Location
The festival will take place inside the Renaissance Village of Sherwood Forest in the Lost Pines region of Central Texas. The venue is 35 miles east of downtown Austin. Sherwood Forest is a 23-acre permanent renaissance village that features over 100 permanent buildings, including shops, pubs, restaurants and stages, many of which will be again used throughout the weekend. Through an expanded partnership with the Sherwood Forest community, ticket buyers can also expect medieval-style activities, such as ax throwing, jousting and archery. After complaints last year that the festival was difficult to navigate at night, organizers announced they’ve added “significant signage and lighting” to the festival, camping and parking grounds.
