Baylor Scott & White to expand Cedar Park clinic, bring more specialists

Baylor Scott & White Health is expanding its Cedar Park clinic, including adding several new full-time specialists in cardiology, orthopedics and podiatry.

"It's been very exciting for us to have this expansion since there's been a huge need for it," said Dr. Melvin Lau, associate chief medical officer for the Greater Austin region.

The details

According to Lau and a BS&W spokesperson, the expansion includes:

• 12 new exam rooms
• Expanded treatment space
• A full-time cardiologist
• A full-time orthopedist
• A full-time podiatrist
• Nurses, medical assistants and other support staff
• Allergy shot service

"The demand was high in Cedar Park because of the growth, and so we wanted to meet that demand and provide that service for them," Lau said.
