The start of construction on the project to widen Raider Way and East Woodview Drive has been pushed back to the beginning of June to coincide with when school lets out, according to the city of Leander.

Originally slated to begin in February or March, the project will widen the existing road to three lanes with safety improvements. It also includes the addition of a roundabout and a new traffic signal.

The project is intended to reduce heavy traffic that occurs surrounding a middle school and high school in the area.
