Williamson County is in the midst of purchasing the right of way necessary to expand and extend RM 2243.

The portion of the road improvements in Leander is part of an 8-mile project to enhance Hero Way, also known as RM 2243 outside the city.

While the bulk of the project entails widening the existing road, a new connector will be built between Ronald Reagan Boulevard and RM 2243.

Timeline: 2022-TBD

Cost: $13.9 million (Leander’s portion of right of way); TBD (design, construction)
