Juanita Budd began work as the new general manager of the Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District, or MUD, on Dec. 1.

According to a press release from Brushy Creek MUD spokesperson Teresa Rose, the Board of Directors of Brushy Creek MUD unanimously approved Budd as the new GM. Budd has more than 20 years of nonprofit experience, according to the release.

Composed of 20,000 residents, Brushy Creek MUD borders Cedar Park, Round Rock and Austin, according to the release.
