Austin Regional Clinic has opened a coronavirus hotline and instituted entrance protocol at its clinics, according to a press release.

The 24-hour hotline can be reached at 866-453-4525.

ARC staff will now meet all patients and visitors at the entrances to its clinics. The greeter will screen each person for symptoms of flu-like illness. The screening will apply to visits to all clinics.

If no flu-like symptoms exist, visitors or patients may enter the clinic and undergo a normal check-in, then wait in the regular waiting area with other screened patients.

If flu-like symptoms do exist, t
he greeter will collect information and check in the patient, separating them from patients without symptoms to wait for a guide. When the guide greets a patient, they will put a mask on the patient and lead them to their exam room.
