Emily Truman, Leander’s new engineer, began her position Oct. 24 replacing previous engineer Ross Blackketter.

“I am pleased to have her on board,” Executive Director of Infrastructure Dan Grimsbo said at the meeting.

Truman is a professional engineer, a certified flood plain manager and a project management professional. She has worked in the private sector for engineering companies and the public sector for several cities such as Cedar Park and Hutto, Grimsbo said.

Prior to her role at Leander, Truman worked as a stormwater program manager and senior engineer for the city of Cedar Park.

“I’m so excited to be here,” Truman said. “I appreciate the opportunity, and I look forward to the work for sure.”
