March 24: Enjoy game night

The Leander Parks and Recreation Department will host Adult Night at Mason Heritage Days, which is an evening of games, food and historical house tours. The event will feature two trivia rounds and one tour.March 25: Take a historic house tour

Mason Heritage Days will feature food, fun and a history lesson of the region as well as historic house tours at Leander’s Mason Homestead. Attendees will get the opportunity to enjoy pioneer demonstrations of roping, branding, candle making, planting and other skills.March 25: Shop for prom attire


Leander ISD PTA Clothes Closet will host its Prom Attire Event, where shoppers can get clothing for free. Prom garments, including suits, dresses, shoes and accessories, will be available to students of all genders who reside within the LISD boundaries. Students will be provided with a personal shopper during their designated shopping period, and they will get the opportunity to try on the clothes.March 25: Dance at a Holi festival

The Rang Barse Holi Rain Dance will include Indian food, Bollywood dance performances, a live DJ and a dhol player. The festival will also have the famous Holi rain dance, which is the tossing of powder paint and colored water into the air, often as a celebration of spring or new life.March 31: Attend a Texas country music concert

Austin-based singer and songwriter Steph Cash will be performing at Wild West Cedar Park. Cash and her band, the Steph Cash Band, released their debut album, “Where I’ve Been,” on Jan. 23.

March 31-April 1: Watch a barbecue cook-off

The Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce will host the 2023 Cedar Fest BBQ Cook-Off at Elizabeth Milburn Park. The first 70 teams will be accepted in the competition and will prep March 31 with the competition taking place April 1. Cook-off categories include beef brisket, chicken, pork and pork ribs. The event will also feature rides, games, food trucks, booths and other activities.Events happening in April


April 1: Do some spring cleaning

Residents will be able to drop off their nonhazardous waste at Leander’s spring cleanup event, which is hosted at the Leander Public Works Department. Accepted items include paper documents for on-site shredding, up to four vehicle tires with a 20-inch maximum, automobile batteries, furniture, lumber, brush and other related items. To participate, residents must bring a copy of their Leander utilities bill and a driver’s license with the same address listed on both.April 2: Take the kids to an egg hunt

The city of Leander will host its Eggstravaganza at Benbrook Ranch Park. The city will disperse over 30,000 eggs across five separate egg hunts. Participants will have the chance to scoop up candy and toy eggs. The egg hunts will take place on five different fields at staggered time intervals depending on age group.April 12: Donate blood

In partnership with the American Red Cross, Queen of Hearts CPR will be hosting a blood donation drive. Each pint of blood donated can help up to three people, and the organization’s goal is to get 50 pints of blood donations. Participants are encouraged to be well hydrated and eat a good breakfast before donating.April 15: Attend Mini-Con


The Cedar Park Public Library will be hosting its Mini-Con, which features a cosplay contest, video games, crafts, a build-a-character workshop, panel discussions, vendors and other activities.April 15: Enjoy a car show

Leander High School will host its Air Force JROTC TX-20007 3rd Annual Car Show, which will feature unique vehicles, vendors, a silent auction, music, a raffle and activities for kids. All of the event’s proceeds will benefit the school’s AFJROTC program.April 26-30: See Disney On Ice

Disney On Ice will bring its Frozen & Encanto tour to the H-E-B Center with live featured appearances from Anna, Elsa and Mirabel as well as fan favorites Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and more. The performance will encourage the audience to sing along to favorite songs while embracing ice skating, aerial acrobatics and more.
