Here are five Christmas events happening this weekend in Cedar Park and Leander.

Dec. 2-4: "Follow The Star" Christmas pageant

In its 10th annual performance, Good Shepard Lutheran Church will present "Follow The Star," an outdoor drive-thru and walk-thru production with over 300 cast members. Admission is free, but visitors are asked to bring nonperishable food items that will be donated to Hill Country Community Ministries. Good Shepard Lutheran Church, 700 W. Dec. 3: Cedar Park Tree Lighting and Santa's Workshop

The city of Cedar Park will host its annual tree-lighting ceremony at Heritage Oak Park. The ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. and follow with family activities, such as a snow playing area, holiday rides, photos with Santa Claus, live music and inflatables. Dec. 4: Old Town Leander Christmas Festival

The annual festival will offer a full day of family-friendly events starting with a morning race and ending with a movie screening. Events include a Christmas tree-lighting at 6:30 p.m., shopping from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., live stage shows, a parade at 11 a.m., a 5K race, food, games, activities and more. From 7-9 p.m., “The Grinch” movie will play and s’mores will be available. Old Town Leander, 100 N. Brushy St., Leander.

Dec. 4: Smooth Village Old Town Holiday Event

Smooth Village in Leander will host its weekly farmers market in the morning with live music in the afternoon and evening. The farmers market will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Live music will play from 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Smooth Village, 203 W. Broade St., Leander. 512-698-1839.

Dec. 5: "For King & Country" concert
