Filings placed for Cedar Park City Council; two incumbents run unopposed, race for Place 1

The candidate filing period for the upcoming Cedar Park City Council election closed Feb. 17, and four total applications were received.

Three seats are up for election. Incumbents—Anne Duffy and Kevin Harris—are running again unopposed for Place 3 and Place 5.

Place 1 will have two candidates running, which does not include Stephen Thomas—who was appointed to Place 1 in June and currently holds the seat. The two candidates running for Place 1 are Bobbi Hutchinson and Justin O'Brien.

The last day to register to vote in the upcoming election is April 6. Early voting will run from April 24 to May 2. Election day is May 6. Click here for more information on the upcoming election.
