Leander ISD has canceled all virtual and in-person classes for Jan. 11 because of "inclement weather conditions."
The district will use additional minutes or the April 12 bad weather day to replace missing learning time, according to the district's announcement. A decision would be made in the coming weeks.
"After consulting with local public safety agencies, we made this decision because of dropping temperatures leading to freezing road conditions after today’s snow and rain," the district said. "The local weather service advised us roads may not be thawed until mid or late morning tomorrow."
Jan. 12 will continue as a "B" day, and an early-release day remains scheduled for Jan. 13.
