Leander ISD has opened online registration for district families to decide what form of learning their students will receive starting Sept. 8.

School starts Aug. 13. Through Sept. 4, all students will learn through 100% virtual instruction.

On Sept. 8, elementary school students will either continue 100% virtual learning, begin 100% in-person learning or enter hybrid learning, which combines virtual and in-person learning. High school and middle school students will enter either 100% virtual or 100% in-person learning.

Student registration, which opened July 24 and will continue through Aug. 6, is available at the LISD website in both English and Spanish.

A “Launch to Learning” webpage on the LISD site answers frequently asked questions about the types of learning, staff and student safety, and more.

Texas ISDs have the option of extending the initial three weeks of 100% virtual learning up to four additional weeks. If LISD chose that option and used all four weeks, schools would not open until Oct. 5.
