Sales tax revenue in Leander spiked 40% in May 2020 compared to May 2019 data, according to July 8 data from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.

In the same timeframe, Cedar Park sales tax revenue increased 0.18% in year-over-year data.

Leander generated $656,256.89 in May sales tax revenue. In 2020, the city has received $4,281,955.09 in sales tax revenue—a 25.4% year-over-year change.

Cedar Park received $2,370,795.83 in May sales tax revenue. The city has generated about $17.5 million in year-to-date sales tax payments, which is a 3.29% increase in over year-over-year payments.
