After closing its original Sixth Street location and opening in South Austin this fall, local bake shop, restaurant and beer garden Easy Tiger is expanding to East Austin in early February.

Nancy's Sky Garden returning to Georgetown

Nancy’s Sky Garden is returning to Georgetown after closing in June. Under the ownership of Juwon Kim, who also owns the Round Rock location, Nancy’s Sky Garden will offer the same menu of Korean-inspired, healthy meals it previously served, including gluten-free and dairy-free options.

Lake Travis-Westlake

West Lake Hills to see the addition of new pizzeria, i Fratelli Pizza

A new pizzeria, i Fratelli Pizza, meaning “the brothers” in Italian, is set to open a location in West Lake Hills at 3736 Bee Caves Road, Ste. 3, West Lake Hills. The franchise location will be owned and operated by independent owners, Lee Ann and Michael Haran.

New Braunfels

Automotive repair shop Badass Broncos is hidden New Braunfels gem

“A lot of the vehicles we [work on], people inherited them,” co-owner Woody Ferrebee said. “They pass them down from grandfather to father. ... And you truly wouldn’t recognize them when we’re done.”

Northwest Austin

Cake design specialist Bento Bakes now open in Anderson Mill

Local custom cake designer Bento Bakes opened a brick-and-mortar location in the Anderson Mill area Dec. 14. Founder and baker Jen Bento, who ran her bakery from her own kitchen for four years, crafts intricate, custom cakes out of buttercream frosting and fondant decorations for birthday parties, showers, weddings and other celebrations.

Round Rock

Tumble 22 to serve up Nashville-style hot chicken in Round Rock

The restaurant will open in the former location of Fuddruckers. The Austin-based eatery's menu is inspired by Nashville hot chicken; offerings include chicken bites, jumbo tenders, chicken sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, collard greens and homemade pies.

Pflugerville-Hutto

Redbud Ranch RV Resort opens in Hutto and 3 other area business updates

Redbud Ranch RV Resort opened in January at 211 Benelli Drive, Hutto. The resort features 147 full hookup RV sites and 40 park model cabins along Brushy Creek.

San Marcos-Buda-Kyle

Maroni's Pizza Kitchen now open in San Marcos

Maroni’s Pizza Kitchen, located at 117 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, opened Nov. 16 in a spot formerly occupied by a Jimmy John’s.

Owner Richard Wilson said Maroni’s serves from-scratch custom pizzas and specialty pizzas, including the Napoletana and the Margherita.

Abby Jane Love, a pastry chef with 13 years of experience—including time in Boston, Virginia and at East Austin restaurant Dai Due—is bringing her passion for baking to Dripping Springs.
