The city of Cedar Park is one step closer to extending and expanding Toro Grande Boulevard.

Cedar Park City Council voted to use eminent domain to acquire additional right-of-way for the project at a Feb. 13 meeting.

The details

The city plans to extend and expand Toro Grande Boulevard north from East Whitestone Boulevard to East New Hope Drive, which was recently extended from Ronald Reagan Boulevard to Sam Bass Road.

For the southern portion of the Toro Grande Boulevard project, the city will build a new roadway alignment to connect East Whitestone Boulevard south and west to Parmer Lane.

Roadway improvements in the project feature:
  • Turn lanes
  • Signal and intersection improvements
  • Raised medians
  • A bridge structure
  • A sidewalk and shard-use path
  • Bike lanes
  • Connection to Brushy Creek North Fork Trail

The cost

The two projects totaling $17.25 million are funded through the city’s voter-approved bond program from 2022, according to city information.
