Phase 2 of Cedar Park's Anderson Mill Road widening project is 95% complete and is expected to conclude in February, contingent on the weather.

Officials said paving and striping still has to be completed along with a few other finishing tasks.

Costing $7.7 million, the project involves widening the remaining two-lane sections to four lanes on Anderson Mill Road between Cypress Creek Road and Whitestone Boulevard, according to city documents.

Other work includes a new sidewalk, signal modifications, signage, a new curb and gutter, and drainage improvements.

"[City staff] seems to be getting after it to try to finish up as much as [they] can ... so that we can open up the road for all residents," council member Mel Kirkland said at the Jan. 11 City Council meeting.
