Fewer homes sold year over year in March in Cedar Park, Leander, Liberty Hill

The number of homes sold in Cedar Park-, Leander- and Liberty Hill-area ZIP codes declined 15%-22% year over year in March, according to data released from the Austin Board of Realtors and Unlock MLS; however, some Northwest Austin ZIP codes saw year-over-year increases.

Still, 143 homes were sold in March in Leander ZIP code 78641—the most in the region.

The median price of those homes sold was mixed, with some ZIP codes like 78717 seeing year-over-year increases of more than $100,000. Homes in ZIP code 78717 sold for a median sales price of $715,000 compared to $580,000 in March 2023, the data shows.

Three area ZIP codes—78613, 78726 and 78729—saw year-over-year decreases in the median price of homes sold.

As in months prior, more homes are sold for $300,000-$499,000 than any other price level. However, homes sold in each of the following price brackets.

Lastly, the number of days a home spent on the market was down year over year in all but two of the area's ZIP codes, the data shows.

Homes spent the fewest number of days on the market in March in Cedar Park-area ZIP code 78717 and the most in Liberty Hill ZIP code 78642.
