Brushy Creek North Fork Trail
- Cedar Park leaders cut the ribbon on the Brushy Creek North Fork Trail in January 2025.
- The 3-mile trail starts near the intersection of West Parmer Lane and East Whitestone Boulevard.
- The trail is a concrete shared-use path that is between 8-10 feet wide, and it runs along the north fork of Brushy Creek Road, according to the city.
- To the south, the trail connects to the Brushy Creek Regional Trail near Brushy Creek Road and integrates into the larger regional trail system.
- The connection of the trail at Bell Park to Timber Trail was completed in March, according to the city’s website.
- Bell Park opened in late 2024 along Cluck Creek and includes a playground in addition to approximately 4,000 feet of new trail.
- The city’s Engineering & Capital Projects department says it is working to add a “feature” tree to the trailhead and make corrections to address accessibility and flood survey-related issues.
- New lighting control systems have been installed at all city tennis courts.
- The city says the new systems enable staff to be more efficient by eliminating the need to visit each site to adjust lighting timers and by remotely alerting them to potential light or power failures.
- “The new controllers provide remote access for lighting control and automatic daylight savings time adjustments, ensuring appropriate lighting for player safety,” the city’s website states.
Many of the projects funded by the 2022 bond package are ongoing, including:
- Further development at Lakeline Park
- Improvements to playing fields at Brushy Creek Sports Park
- Trail reconstruction in Milburn Park and Brushy Creek Lake Park
- Expansion of the Veterans Memorial Park pool
