There’s something for everyone this weekend in the Austin area, including the Cedar Park Rodeo, Bastrop County Health Fair and the Paramount Summer Classic Film Series.
Here are six events for locals to attend from Aug. 7-9.

Float and Flick
The city of Dripping Springs welcomes residents to its final Float and Flick event of the season at Founders Memorial Pool. Attendees can pack a towel and swimsuit for a poolside showing of “Princess and the Frog.” Princess Tiana will also make an appearance at the pool, hosting a meet and greet from 7:15-8:15 p.m.
Cedar Park Rodeo
The two nights of professional rodeo events include bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, girls barrel racing, girls breakaway roping, team roping and the fan favorites mutton busing and frisbee dogs.
Bastrop County Health Fair
Bastrop Regional Chamber of Commerce will host the community event focused on health agencies, preventative care, exercise, nutrition and more. The event will also include free CPR training sessions, mammograms, blood donation opportunities and kids activities.
Buda Summer Concert Series
The free family-friendly event continues in Buda, with the band Dysfunkshun Junkshun taking the stage to play a variety of hits.
Paramount Summer Classic Film Series
Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 2001 movie “The Princess Diaries” with a double feature including “Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.”
New Moon Sound Bath
Flow Yoga Georgetown invites the community to celebrate the new moon. The evening will include intention setting, gentle yoga practice, group meditation and a soothing sound bath.
