Three Cedar Park City Council members have filed to retain their seats in the upcoming general election on May 3, and one new candidate is contesting the race for Place 1.
The details
Place 3 council member Anne Duffy and Place 5 council member Kevin Harris will both be running unopposed for reelection. Place 1 incumbent Bobbi Hutchinson will face a challenge from new candidate Alexis Frezza, according to city documents. The filing deadline for candidates to run for a council seat closed Feb. 14.
What else?
Cedar Park council members serve two year terms, and all positions are at-large, meaning candidates do not need to live in a specific area, according to the city.
The general election will be held May 3. April 3 is the last day to register to vote, according to the state. Early in-person voting will run April 22-29.
