The school zone previously extended from roughly 340 feet west of El Salido Parkway to 300 feet east of El Sol Drive. The school zone now extends past El Sol Drive and ends between Anderson Mill Parkway and El Sol Drive, according to the documents.

The posted speed limit on Cypress Creek Road in front of the high school is 45 miles per hour except in designated school zones, where the speed limit is 30 mph during posted times, according to the documents.

Attendance has increased since Leander Independent School District adjusted attendance zones for CPHS, and the increase led city staff to recommend the adjustment to the school zone in the interest of student safety, according to the documents.
