The vote to allow the SUP passed 4-2, with council members Mel Kirkland and Bobbi Hutchinson voting against.
Two-minute impact
The day care will operate out of a building that is being constructed at the site, according to previous reporting.
The building is being constructed on roughly 0.68 acres of land in a shopping center, and the property is surrounded by retail and commercial development, restaurants, a coffee shop, a senior living facility and another day care center, Primrose School of Cedar Park West.
Kirkland and Hutchinson voted no after Kirkland expressed concern the Primrose School had not been properly notified, but Ryan Irion of TDI Engineering, who applied for the SUP, confirmed all proper legal notices had been issued in sufficient time for the business owner to voice any concerns.
Little Hugs is now set to operate in about half of the building.
