Cedar Park leaders are continuing to chip away at the Bell District development with the start of construction on Bell Park just around the corner.

The overview

Work on Bell Park is scheduled to begin in December, after council unanimously approved the construction agreement Nov. 9.

Bell Park spans across roughly 15 acres, and it is located along Cluck Creek adjacent to Bell District and the new Cedar Park Public Library, which is under construction.

Senior Project Manager Caleb Stockton said the scope of work in the Bell Park project includes:
  • Roughly 4,000 linear feet of of new trails, including a shared-use path
  • Trail network connections
  • A play structure
  • A trailhead pavilion and nature areas
  • Restroom facilities
  • Art installments
  • Creative lighting
The project will cost the city $2.8 million.

Construction will begin in December and take about 250 days. Stockton said construction is expected to wrap up in August or September 2024, around the same time as the new library.
