Families of rising seniors gearing up to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid can bring their questions to several help sessions to be held by Round Rock ISD officials.

What's happening?

The completion of the FAFSA is not only a tool for exploring financial support for post-graduate plans but a graduation requirement in Texas. School counselors will be available at these help sessions to answer any questions parents and students may have about the application.

The details

Help sessions will be held on the following dates:
  • Jan. 17, 6-8 p.m. in the Old Hopewell Building, 1311 Round Rock Ave., Round Rock
  • Jan. 20, 9 a.m.-noon at the McNeil High School college and career center, 5720 McNeil Drive, Austin
  • Jan. 23, 6-8 p.m. at the Austin Community College Round Rock campus, 4400 College Park Drive, Round Rock
  • Jan. 25, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Cedar Ridge High School lecture hall, 2801 Gattis School Road, Round Rock
  • Jan. 30, 6-8 p.m. in the Round Rock High School library, 201 Deep Wood Drive, Round Rock
  • Jan. 31, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Stony Point High School, Room B101, 1801 Tiger Trail, Round Rock
  • Feb. 3, 9 a.m.-noon at the McNeil High School college and career center, 5720 McNeil Drive, Austin
  • Feb. 24, 9 a.m.-noon at the McNeil High School college and career center, 5720 McNeil Drive, Austin
  • March 2, 9 a.m.-noon at the McNeil High School college and career center, 5720 McNeil Drive, Austin
Parents and students are asked to create their Federal Student Aid IDs ahead of time. According to district information, there is a one- to three-day processing time for FSA IDs, which are required to complete and sign FAFSA applications.
