Andre Dinata and his wife Lili opened EurAsia Ramen in 2019 after Dinata spent most of his career working in the restaurant industry. Dinata’s experiences in other eateries inspired him to open his own spot, and as he began developing the ramen menu, he found an outlet for creativity.

“Every dish has a different, unique flavor,” Dinata said.

On the menu

EurAsia Ramen offers sushi, ramen, poke and other plates, as well as desserts. The most popular menu item at the Cedar Park location is the spicy chicken ramen with a creamy chicken broth, grilled chicken, marinated soft boiled eggs, mushrooms, scallions, bamboo shoot, cabbage, bean sprouts and nori. Other featured menu items include the black tonkotsu and red tonkotsu ramens made with pork.

In developing the menu, Dinata said he turned to customers for their feedback in perfecting the lineup. Now, he refreshes the menu twice a year to add new seasonal flavors, while still keeping the staple dishes that patrons love.

“We really connected with the customers,” Dinata said. “We ask them ‘How [do] you like it?’ Should [we] keep this on the menu? From there, we can see ‘Oh, okay they prefer it spicy or regular.’”

Meet the team

There are about 12 employees at the Cedar Park location, who support the restaurant's operations.

“When you own the restaurant, it's not [a] one man show. [You’re] gonna start with a good leader [to] support the team because without the team, you are nothing,” Dinata said.

More details

Dinata said his favorite aspect of owning a small business is making customers happy when they eat at Eurasia Ramen.

“We're not just serving food, we're serving a memory also,” Dinata said. “So, when people walk out the door and then they remember ‘Oh this is what I had in EurAsia. We want to come back again and then try different things.’”

Dinata said it was continuous support from customers that made EurAsia Ramen succeed, and eventually expand. Along with the Cedar Park and Burnet locations, Dinata and his wife also operate five Bluefin Sushi Bar and Ramen restaurants in the Austin area.

Though Dinata now oversees locations all over the metro region, he visits each restaurant at least once every two weeks to emphasize his focus on quality.

“We want to make sure the food quality, ingredients, everything comes out [the way] we want it because as owners [we take] more care,” Dinata said.

Next Steps

Though Dinata said he has no plans to open another EurAsia location in the near future, he is opening a new Bluefin Sushi Bar and Ramen location in the Arboretum in August. Construction on the project started in February, according to previous Community Impact reporting.
