Four Points YMCA is celebrating the completion of its first phase of construction which focused on the building of the first Tomorrow Academy, a YMCA marketing representative said.

The Tomorrow Academy will accept children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Construction for the early childhood education center began in September.

With the completion of Phase 1, the Four Points YMCA is expected to begin construction on Phase 2, which includes the creation of outdoor spaces such as a swimming pool, splash pad, a playground, outdoor fitness areas and family gathering spaces.

What to know


The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place Jan. 24 from 3-4 p.m. with a community open house for interested families from 4-6 p.m.

Austin City Council members Marc Duchen and Krista Laine will be in attendance.
