This was the second reading of the application before council, and the plan for the site was adjusted after comments at the first reading.
The original plan for the site, according to agenda documents, included a 5,000-square-foot convenience store and two retail suites totaling 2,400 square feet. The original plan also proposed six multi-fuel dispensers and associated parking.
The plan was revised to include five multi-fuel dispensers, four electric vehicle charging stations, additional enhanced landscaping, open space areas with seating and art displays, said Andreina Davila-Quintero, assistant director of development services for the city.

“I do think this might be the prettiest gas station we’ll have in the city,” Mayor Jim Penniman-Morin said. He added that he realizes there is a need for a gas station in that area.
