Cedar Park and south Leander have seen a number of changes to local restaurants and businesses. Here are some of the latest updates from the region.

Bagel Bear


The restaurant serves bagel sandwiches, bagels, toasts, smoothies, matcha and coffee. Bagel flavors include sesame, jalapeno cheddar cheese, everything, za’atar and more. Spreads include scallion, jalapeno, honey cream cheese, blueberry and medjool date cream cheese.The Baked Crust Pizza and Taproom

The Baked Crust offers stone-fired pizzas ranging from classics, such as pepperoni, Hawaiian and supreme pizzas, to more eclectic flavors, such as tandoori chicken, chili paneer and truffle mushroom. In addition to pizza, the restaurant offers salads, sliders, wings and a variety of sides. The location also features a full bar stocked with wine, specialty cocktails and a large selection of draft beers.Dough it Up


Dough it Up brings together Italian recipes from different regions to serve homemade pasta, lasagna, focaccia, pizza and homemade sauces and salad dressings. Menu items include calamari, focaccia sandwiches, artichoke dip, Bolognese pasta, various pizzas and tiramisu for dessert.

Drizzles Ice Cream

The ice cream parlor sells more than 30 flavors with more than 20 varieties of toppings, in addition to faloodas, waffles, cakes, crepes and coffee drinks. The Cedar Park branch will be the second Drizzles location in Texas, following the original store in Savannah. Other locations are slated to open in Argyle, San Antonio, McKinney and Houston.Lumi’s Crepes & Coffee

Lumi’s serves a range of French-inspired crepes using Belgian waffle styles and authentic white, milk and dark chocolate imported from Belgium. While the food trucks specialize in sweet crepes, the Cedar Park location will also serve savory crepes such as the French Onion Steak Crepe. The restaurant will also offer paninis and a wide range of coffee drinks.Malabar Gold & Diamonds

Malabar, a worldwide corporation headquartered in India, sells a variety of gold, silver and platinum rings, necklaces, watches, earrings and other accessories. Additionally, the store sells gifts and gold coins, and can customize jewelry with a variety of gemstones.Texas Roadhouse


The restaurant chain is known for its ribs, steaks, burgers, fried chicken and homemade sides. The franchise has more than 700 branches worldwide.Coming soon

Apex Pickleball Club


The 49,000-square-foot complex will feature 16 pickleball courts, professional coaches, locker rooms, private party rooms, a pro shop and a restaurant and bar called PickleDilly’s. Nathan Parodi, Apex’s director of marketing and sales, said the restaurant will likely be open by mid-January. The facility will also offer classes, tournaments and special events.Batteries Plus

The store specializes in battery and lighting solutions for retail and commercial customers. The location carries thousands of varieties of batteries, ranging from everyday household AAs to automotive, marine, recreational vehicle and powersports power sources.Port of Subs


The sandwich chain, which was launched in Nevada in 1972, primarily serves West Coast states but has been expanding into Texas. The restaurant serves a variety of customizable hot and cold sub sandwiches, wraps, salads, sides and desserts.VIP Furbabies

The $4.25 million construction project is slated to break ground in March, with an estimated completion date of November 2026. No official opening date has been announced. The restaurant, which serves a variety of American food, craft beers and cocktails, currently has three Texas locations, with new branches opening in Plano and Prosper in early 2026. The Cedar Park branch will be the first in the Greater Austin area.Mountain Mike’s Pizza


The California-based pizza franchise filed a permit with TDLR for a new Cedar Park location. Construction on the facility is slated to begin in February and complete in May. No opening date has been announced. The pizza chain sells a variety of pies named for famous mountains, including the Pike’s Peak, the Everest and the McKinley, in addition to wings, salads, sandwiches and desserts.In the news

Daddy’s Chicken Shack


The fried chicken restaurant celebrated its one-year anniversary Nov. 22. The restaurant serves a variety of chicken sandwiches, tenders, salads and sides for breakfast, lunch and dinner.School of Rock

The music academy’s Cedar Park branch celebrated its first year of business in October. The franchise helps teach fundamentals of music through rock, and offers courses for all ages in guitar, drums, piano and bass.TopShot


The membership-based sports club has been open one year as of Nov. 24. The 30,000-square-foot space offers 14 courts for badminton and pickleball, as well as a full gym facility, professional coaching and a pro shop.
