The firm provides expertise on security, infrastructure and network setup for companies in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Texas. The Cedar Park branch held a soft opening in late July but celebrated its official opening Oct. 29. The company specializes in both traditional and modern security and locksmithing services, including key making, electronic surveillance, alarm systems and home safes.The Dugout Gametime Grill

The sports bar and restaurant offers burgers, wings, pizza, salads, dessert options, and a wide range of craft beer.Hype Bar and Grill

The restaurant sells a variety of classic pub food, including burgers, wings and pizza, while also offering a wide variety of Indian-inspired dishes, including kebabs, tikka masala and butter chicken. The bar features a large selection of draft and bottled beers as well as more than a dozen craft cocktails. Hype also hosts live events, including trivia nights and live music.Ked’s Ice Cream

The Dallas-based ice cream franchise offers a selection of more than 95 flavors, and takes inspiration from several South Asian and Middle Eastern desserts. In addition to ice cream treats like cones and sundaes, the franchise offers faloodas, crepes, waffles, boba drinks and refreshers.

The Secret Lantern Books and Games


The new business is an independent book store and game hub. The Secret Lantern has launched an online store ahead of its brick-and-mortar opening which includes ebooks, audiobooks, traditional books, manga, graphic novels and more.Coming Soon

Boot Barn


The Western wear retailers in America, will be scooting into a new location in Lakeline Plaza this November. The store will be moving into the space formerly occupied by Bed, Bath & Beyond. The retailer sells a wide variety of boots for men, women and children, including cowboy boots, work boots and hiking boots. Additionally, the store offers a range of hats, clothing and home decor to capture a Western aesthetic.Phat Tracks Books & Records

The store will stock more than 200 dark romance titles and 300 horror novels, among many others, in addition to a wide selection of vinyl records, CDs and cassettes. The store also publishes its own in-house zine called “Ignite” that accepts submissions for fiction, nonfiction, poetry, photography and art.

The Yard Gym


The gym will offer progression programming, weight- and cardio-based training. The Cedar Park location is veteran- and female-owned by father-daughter duo William and Jessica Laigaie, with Jessica running the gym.In the news

Fashion Reloved


The vintage consignment store is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The Cedar Park-based business is run primarily online through eBay, Poshmark and the Fashion Reloved website. Silva also has a pop-up at SHOWROOM Austin in The Domain once a month.Faubion Elementary

The school is celebrating 50 years of serving the Leander ISD community with an anniversary event in November. The event will be held Nov. 8 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and include a proclamation from Cedar Park Mayor Jim Penniman-Morin and speeches from Kern Faubion, grandson of the school’s namesake Ada Mae Faubion, as well as other district officials.What's next—Permits filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation


Family Barn Indoor Playground

Family Barn, which operates another location in Georgetown, is available to kids ages 6 and up and offers multiple safe play areas, including ball pits, slides, and bounce houses. A representative for Family Barn said the company is currently working with the city to finalize approvals and couldn’t offer a timeline yet for opening.Relocations

Colburn Chiropractic


The clinic relocated to a new location within Leander on Oct. 6, office manager Marcel Colburn said. The business was previously located at 2906 S. Bagdad Road, Ste. 230. Colburn Chiropractic is owned by Dr. Devin Colburn, who offers chiropractic care, red light laser therapy and hydromassage services.Kinectory Learning Centers


The Christian preschool relocated from its original location at 3502 Hatch Road. The school offers summer camps and pop-up events through its Kinectory Club in addition to school programming. The new facility will feature a sensory and STEM lab, which will include museum-grade resources for active learning.SHINE Pilates Studios

The studio has relocated from its former location at 605 S. Bell Blvd., Ste. 104. SHINE offers beginner, intermediate and advanced private and small group classes using the Classical Pilates Method, utilizing equipment such as the reformer, tower, chair and mat work. Warpath Pizza

The pizza restaurant offered a wide selection of pizza, wings, salads and pasta and had a full bar with beer, wine and cocktails. The company still operates a location in Round Rock.
