Residents living in far Northwest Austin have three new restaurants to try with a fourth on the way. Other notable openings include the February debut of Texas Children's Hospital in Austin.

1. Si Jie Special Noodle


The Asian fusion restaurant features noodle dishes cooked on hot cobblestones as well as dumplings, meat kebabs, seafood barbecue, sake, beer and wine.2. Lazeez Mediterranean Food

Owned by Bilal AlJalam, Lazeez Mediterranean Food serves a variety of Mediterranean dishes, such as falafel, dolma, kibbeh and more. The first location will remain open at 6812 RM 620, Austin.3. Mala Chili

The restaurant’s expanding menu features a variety of Szechuan-style Chinese food, including meat, seafood and vegetable dishes, plus dumplings, egg rolls, rice and noodles. The restaurant also serves Yomie yogurt drinks and fresh fruit teas.4. Eye Level Lakeline Tutoring Center

Students at the center undergo individual assessments to identify their strengths and areas of improvement, which instructors use to tailor their curriculum toward. Year-round accelerated math and English study programs are also available for pre-K through ninth grade students.5. Texas Children’s Hospital North Austin


Along with an emergency room and urgent care center, the hospital offers neonatal and pediatric intensive care services, gynecological services, a labor and delivery unit, operating rooms, renal dialysis, a sleep center, and more. 6. Happy Lamb Hot Pot


The hot pot restaurant has several other locations in the Houston and Dallas areas, and will feature a similar menu of seafood and meat cooked in a soup base, with the option of adding in vegetables and noodles.7. Beyond Cabinet & Stone

The business will provide a variety of cabinetry and countertop remodeling services, plus 3D-designed models prior to installation.Relocations


8. Art Plus Academy


Founder Monica Araoz moved the academy focused on drawing and painting from its location at 9308 Anderson Mill Road.9. OsteoStrong

The wellness center works with clients to strengthen their skeletal system and improve their bone density, posture and athletic performance as well as reduce joint and back pain. The center was previously located in Steiner Ranch.Expansions

10. Austin Children’s Academy


The Montessori school is expanding into a 3,500-square-foot building next door to its existing campus. The new space will feature an activity room, a training center for teachers and two classrooms for its new elementary program for students ages 6-12.
