Holy Cross Coptic Orthodox Church is relocating from its location at 700 S. I-35, Round Rock, to Cedar Park. The church’s new space is under construction and expected to open in September at 900 Holy Cross Drive, Cedar Park.
The Rev. Benjamin Abouelkheir said the church needed a larger space to accommodate its growing congregation and chose to relocate to Cedar Park because about two-thirds of its members live in Cedar Park and Leander.
Holy Cross Coptic Orthodox Church hosts three liturgies a week, Bible studies, Sunday school for children, classes, summer activities and monthly meetings for men, women and children. At its new location, the church plans to add Sunday school for adults and an academy that will offer monthslong courses on different faith-related topics. 512-537-2767. www.holycrossaustin.church
