New basketball training facility Shoot 360 will open to players of all ages and skill levels early next year.

The gist

The facility will provide personalized coaching using advanced technology, including motion-tracking cameras to gather data and provide real-time feedback. Players can learn ball-handling, shooting and decision-making skills.

The gym will also have coaches to assist players on the court or through private training, camps and clinics.

Around three to six months after opening, Shoot 360 will begin offering adult leagues and high-intensity interval training, said Leander franchise co-owner Ed Arcinue, who is a Cedar Park resident.

How it works

At Shoot 360, players can receive instant feedback on the arc and depth of their shots. Automatic rebound machines collect and pass balls back to players after they shoot.

The technology allows players to practice more efficiently, shooting hundreds of shots in around 30 minutes, Arcinue said.

Players can practice passing to digital targets, some of which can be visualized as bugs that children may try to squash.

“We have a fun environment with the right coaching that gets you to whatever your goals are,” Arcinue said.

Shoot 360 plans to open two additional facilities in the Austin area over the next three years—one in the Round Rock and Georgetown area, and another around Lakeway and Bee Cave, Arcinue said.
