Two doors in the Lake Travis/Westlake area will be closed for good by the end of the month.

Lake Travis

Southwestern restaurant Austin Burrito Company, 13011 Shops Parkway, Ste. 600, Bee Cave, in the Shops at the Galleria, announced its closure as of Monday on the business’ Facebook page and with a statement taped to its front door.

“It's with tearful eyes and broken hearts that we have to tell you, our friends and neighbors, that Austin Burrito Company is closing immediately,” the restaurant’s Facebook post provided. “We want to thank all of you who have been so supportive during this wild adventure. We will forever cherish the patronage and encouragement you provided since we opened.”

In the post, the owners asked the Lake Travis community to find a place for its employees to work and said they would be happy to offer references.

Westlake area

Children’s store Brilliant Sky Toys & Books, 701 S. Capital of Texas Hwy., Ste. D, Austin, in The Village at Westlake, announced June 20 to Community Impact Newspaper that it will close June 30.

“We have loved being part of the community, our clients’ lives and watching the children be excited when they walk through our doors,” the business stated in an email to customers.

The release stated sale prices and complimentary gift wrapping will continue until the store closes.
