AQUILA Commercial real estate signed leases for four new tenants Wednesday at The Terrace, a masterplanned office park located at 2600 Via Fortuna Drive, Austin, said David Putman, an AQUILA partner and leasing broker for The Terrace. "Generally our tenants like the idea of being in a campus setting, and the amenities that come with that," he said. "[The Terrace] is also a centralized location right off MoPac without the cost of being downtown." A national transportation engineering, planning and design consulting firm, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., will be opening a second Austin location at The Terrace on Feb. 1, said Andy VanLeeuwen, Kimley-Horn and Associates senior vice president. The company's current office is located at 10814 Jollyville Road, Austin, near The Arboretum, he said. "We do a lot of work with the city of Austin and wanting to be closer to downtown was a real asset," VanLeeuwen said. "We are currently doing projects in Buda and other areas south so this will help there [as well]." The second location will also ease commute times for employees who live south of Austin and in the Dripping Springs area, he said. The move should also help  Kimley-Horn recruit new employees, he said. Munck Wilson Mandala, LLP is technology-focused law firm that is new to the Austin area and growing in size, Putman said. The firm moved into its 4,254-square-foot space at The Terrace right after signing its lease, he said. Private equity firm CenterGate Capital leased 2,722 square feet and healthcare investment group Pilot Wall Group leased 2,052 square feet, Putman said. NewLink Genetics, a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing immune-oncology product trials,  is moving to a new space in The Terrace that better suits its current needs, he said. Family law firm Ikard Wynne, LLP will be adding a 2,974 square feet to its office space in The Terrace, Putman said.
