Dallas-based pizza restaurant Cane Rosso and local ice cream truck Cow Tipping Creamery will be taking over the former St. Philip space, located at 4715 S. Lamar Blvd. in Sunset Valley, Central Austin Management Group announced Jan. 6.

Cane Rosso serves wood-fired pizza. CTC makes soft-serve ice cream cones, stacker sundaes and shakes. CTC will continue to operate its food truck while using the Cane Rosso kitchen to experiment and create desserts, according to the company.

Both businesses plan to open sometime in 2016.

After one year of operation, pizza restaurant and bakery St. Philip closed Nov. 1.
