In September, Community Impact Newspaper broke news that In-N-Out Burger was planning a location in San Marcos at 1437 N. I-35, the site of a former Bikini’s Sports Bar & Grill.
On Dec. 17, Panterra Construction applied for a permit to build the new restaurant, which will include a patio, drive-thru and indoor dining area.
Company representative Carl Van Fleet said it usually takes about four to five months to open a restaurant after construction begins.
The restaurant chain serves burgers, french fries, milkshakes and sodas.
