Bastrop City Council will discuss the approval of a transportation impact fee at the Sept. 26 regular City Council meeting. If approved, the ordinance would require new developments to pay an impact fee to account for increased traffic. The application of the fee to accessory dwelling units will also be discussed.

The impact fees would only apply to developments within the city limits. Kimley Horn engineers were hired to outline the necessary components to adopt the new fee.
