Zoning concepts for Reed Ranch will be discussed at the Sept. 12 Bastrop City Council meeting. Reed Ranch is a 24-acre planned development district located at 615 W. Hwy. 71 at the intersection of Hwy. 71 and Settlement Drive. The development plans include apartment buildings and sidewalk paths.

Additionally, the council will have the first reading of the fiscal year 2023-24 budget. The FY 2023-24 tax roll, tax rate and ad valorem taxes will also be discussed.

The council will also consider the following items:
  • Approval of the acceptance of Bastrop Public Library’s $2,500 Texas Book Festival grant for the purchase of first reader books
  • Blakey Lane extension agreement to increase street connectivity and reduce first responder time with a further 4,000 feet of roadway
