In a nutshell
Planned each year by the Bastrop High School Youth Advisory Committee as one of its community service projects, the free family-friendly event partners with local bakers to offer free treats and hot chocolate to attendees.

Family Crisis Center serves the areas of Bastrop, Colorado, Fayette and Lee counties in the Central Texas area, providing crisis intervention and advocacy services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Some of the services provided include:
- Case management
- 24/7 emergency shelter
- Safety planning and advocacy
- Transitional housing
- Life skills education
- Counseling
There are several ways to assist with Family Crisis Center's ability to continue helping those in need, including:
- Donations of money or supplies, such as personal care and pantry items
- Shopping at Bits and Pieces Thrift Store
- Volunteering to help with special events
- Assisting with the 24-hour crisis hotline
