The city of Bastrop has released early voting totals for Proposition A.

What you need to know

The proposition would reallocate Bastrop Economic Development Corporation funds to residential street repairs.

According to unofficial early voting results, 68.66% of votes were cast in favor of the proposition.


There was also a county election to abolish the office of county surveyor for Bastrop. At the time of publication, 58.69% of votes were in favor of abolishing the position.

What else?

In early voting, there were 9,636 ballots cast countywide, which represents 16.75% of Bastrop County's 57,518 voters.

Totals from ballots cast Nov. 7 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
