What else?
An extension of Comfort Cafe Smithville, both eateries benefit nonprofit Serenity Star Recovery, which works to provide a safe, sober and spiritual environment for individuals and families recovering from addiction.
Comfort Cafe Smithville, and Comfort Cafe On The Go, are modeled on a pay-what-you-can basis, with a suggested donation of $15 per meal, or $5 for specialty coffees and desserts.
Quote of note
"Through the cafe and now the food truck, we invite people to come dine with us to see what addicts and alcoholics working a sustainable recovery program looks like," said Comfort Cafe Director Justin Motl. "We learn to heal ourselves and lift the veil of stigma around addiction."
