“The holidays are all about making memories," said Nicole DeGuzman, executive director of the Bastrop Museum and Visitor Center, in a press release. "We're thrilled to partner with the Bastrop Fire Department and the city of Bastrop to create this special experience for our community.”
Also of note
The Bastrop Museum and Visitor Center hosts daily writing and drawing for letters to Santa from 10 a.m.-5 pm. through Dec. 23. Inside, the museum provides cards, letters, envelopes, crayons, pens and stickers.
“Seeing children's eyes light up as they write to Santa knowing that our firefighter elves collect their letters is pure magic,” DeGuzman said in the release.
The mailbox and letter writing event is free and open to the public.
“So, bring your little ones down to the Bastrop Museum and Visitor Center for a heartwarming holiday experience,” DeGuzman said in the release. “Write your letter to Santa, drop it in the magical mailbox, and let the Bastrop Fire Department's elves work their holiday magic.”
