Local businesses will offer treats at the Bastrop Boo Bash. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and enjoy the free festivities, and don’t forget a goody bag.

Last year’s Boo Bash event at Fisherman’s Park saw over 6,000 attendees. This year the fun is returning to downtown.

“We are expecting a large, large turnout next Tuesday night,” Bastrop Convention Center Director Kathy Danielson said.

Danielson said the Calvary Episcopal Church will be open to children and feature spooky organ music. Down the street, a trunk-or-treat event will be held in the Bastrop Public Library parking lot.

“Businesses will come in and decorate their booths, and their employees will be in costume handing out candy,” Danielson said.

The event will include a bubble show at the Bastrop Opera House from 6:30-7:30 p.m. A photo op station will also be available at the Opera House alongside balloon artists.

“There's gonna be a lot going on that night," Danielson said.
