Residents can add the name of a person, or description of an event and moment in Bastrop County history to a wall that the Bastrop County Historical Society Museum and Visitor Center will maintain.

Fa La La Through The Forest Scavenger Hunt

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department launched a self-guided scavenger hunt that invites participants to follow ornaments with clues throughout Bastrop State Park. The first ornament can be found outside and near the headquarters building.

Pistols and Pearls Banquet

The Bastrop Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet will embrace a Roaring ‘20s-inspired theme and invites guests to wear their best vintage flair.

Cowboy Yeti Trail Run

Martin Luther King Jr. Walk

The Bastrop County Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Commission will hold its 31st annual walk for peace, justice and equality. The walk from the Elgin Depot Museum to Booker T. Washington Elementary will be followed by a program at 11 a.m.

Bastrop Empty Bowl

The 21st annual event, which will help raise funds for food support in the community, invites residents to sample soups, stews and chilies. Each ticketed attendee will take home a hand-painted ceramic soup bowl.
