Restoration Ranch is set to host its annual Spring Fling fundraiser, supporting its mission to help heal veterans through equine therapy.

The gist

President and founder Beth Rand said the event will offer fun for all ages, from veterans to children.

Rand said horse trainer Barbara Tippett will give a special liberty freestyle routine with Bella, a rescue horse from Restoration Ranch.

“She doesn’t use a saddle or bridle,” Rand said. “She does a routine and she shows what’s possible when you have a relationship with your horse and what all you can do together. She’s a show-stopper.”

Tickets to the event can be purchased online.

What else?

The day will begin with an opening ceremony and a mounted color guard in recognition of Vietnam Veterans Day.

After that, the Military Order of the Purple Heart will give a Purple Heart Ranch dedication.

“It will be a very, very meaningful day for anyone who is affiliated with the military at all,” Rand said. “They are recognizing us for the services we provide to all of our veterans, but specifically veterans who have been wounded in conflict.”
