How it works
Rachel Hatch, Bastrop Museum and Visitor Center public relations manager, said the “magical mailbox” was provided by Downtown Bastrop and the City of Bastrop, and is set up in front of the museum downtown.
Children can prewrite their letters, or families can slip inside and use the special stationery provided by the Bastrop Museum and Visitor Center, located within the Holiday Traditions exhibit.
“Be sure to include your name and address,” Hatch said.
Bastrop Fire Department officials will go through the mailbox and respond to each of the letters, Hatch said.
Notable quote
