The Bastrop Opera House will be filled with holiday cheer when the Rockin’ Holiday Revue kicks off its grand opening night Dec. 6. The show runs through Dec. 22.

The details

According to a news release, the show will offer a “rockin’ twist and jukebox vibe” with live holiday music and an emcee to guide the audience throughout the event.

Executive Director Lisa Holcomb said in the release that the show aims to “whisk the audience away to a world where joy and celebration know no bounds.”

Holcomb said attendees are encouraged to wear festive attire to the family-friendly show, which will leave the audience tapping their feet and clapping along.

What else?

The Bastrop Opera House team is working to add over 5,000 square feet to its repertoire when it begins the $2.6 million Phase 1 of its two-phase expansion into the historic building adjacent to its current space.

Funded through a campaign by the opera house, as well as support from the city of Bastrop, the first phase is expected to begin by early March and end around six months later.
