What's happening?
Hosted by Meals on Wheels Rural Capital Area, Combined Community Action, and Bastrop Community Cares, the event will feature local organizations and services geared toward senior citizens.
Karen Walpole, communications director for Combined Community Action, said there will also be free food and drinks, door prizes, goodie bags, and live music.
"I'm most excited about the barbershop quartet that will be performing," Walpole said. "It's really going to be special."
Walpole said one of the many services that will be offered will include free haircuts from Austin-area Agape Barbershop.
What else?
Capital Area Rural Transportation will provide free shuttle rides to and from the event.
Pickup locations and times include:
- Smithville Recreation Center at 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
- Elgin Recreation Center at 8:40 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
- Bastrop Senior Center at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
