Hosted by the Bastrop Area Cruisers, the Heroes and Hotrods Veterans Day event will showcase classic cars while also offering a tribute to United States veterans.

The details

The festivities begin on Nov. 8 at 5 p.m., when around 400 car show participants cruise around Main Street in downtown Bastrop, according to the Bastrop Area Cruisers website.

The car show begins the morning of Nov. 9 at 10 a.m., when judging begins.

A Veterans Day march will take place from the Bastrop Post Office at 1106 Main St. to the Bastrop County Courthouse at the gazebo at 804 Pecan St. Bastrop Area Cruises officials said all military members are welcome to participate.

Following the march, a Veterans Day tribute and ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the gazebo.


What else?

Attendees can also expect a kids activity area, vendors, a silent auction, raffles and door prizes, officials said.
